ABOUT BPUT JUNIOR HACKATHON

The BPUT Junior Hackathon is a competitive, creative platform that encourages students to innovate, collaborate, and solve real-world challenges using coding and technology. It’s a hands-on opportunity to enhance problem-solving, software development, and team-building skills in a fun, structured environment.

🧭 EVENT FORMAT

The hackathon will be conducted in two exciting rounds designed to test both creativity and execution:

πŸ”΅ Phase 1: Online Submission

Teams will submit their idea, write-up, and abstract through the registration form. Judges will evaluate based on innovation, feasibility, and clarity.

🟒 Phase 2: Onsite Finale

Selected teams will present live at the venue. They'll build, demo, and pitch their prototype in front of a jury panel.

Team Formation & Code of Conduct

Team Formation Process

  • Each team must consist of 3 to 6 students.
  • One mentor should be assigned by the school/institution.
  • One supporting staff is allowed for assistance.
  • All members must be from the same school or institution.
  • Teams should be formed before registration closes.

Code of Conduct

  • All participants must maintain discipline throughout the event.
  • Any form of plagiarism or cheating will lead to disqualification.
  • Respect mentors, judges, and fellow participants.
  • Use of inappropriate language or behavior is strictly prohibited.
  • Decisions by the organizing committee are final and binding.
